I blogged about this really awesome story that I read (you can read it here) and it has TOTALLY inspired me to change my mindset when it comes to the little boys. Let’s just say, “I would rather be dumb.” If you don’t understand, you’ve just gotta read the story!
Now, with a new mindset, these are some of the things that I did with the little boys this week. We used tongs to transfer puff balls from the tray to the bowl. This was the first time I pulled out the tongs for them and they really seemed to enjoy it and they actually did really well! We had lots of fun playing with these foam balls that I found at the Dollar Tree. We worked on identifying each type of ball. Every little boy needs to know a football from a basketball, right?!?!?!? {smile} We also used them to work on ABABA patterning. The boys absolutely LOVE playing with the new bucket balance that we got. I actually got it for KJ to use with her math lessons on weight, but the little boys seem to be getting the most use of out if for now. I just gave them some bottle tops (I always save bottle tops…you never know when they will come in handy!!) and they played with it for at least 15 to 20 minutes. I was completely SHOCKED…to say the very least!!! These are just a few of the things that the little boys did this week.
